ORDINANCE N0. 647
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF URIAH ESTABLISHING
FEES FOR WATER TRANSMISSION, STORAGE AND
PRODUCTION AND TREATMENT FACILITIES
The City Council of the City of Ukiah does Ordain as follows:
Section 1. The Ukiah Municipal Code is amended by adding
Chapter 4 to Division 4, said amendment to read as follows:
CHAPTER 4 - FEES FOR WATER TRANSMISSION, STORAGE
& PRODUCTION & TREATMENT FACILITIES
Section 3850 - Purpose
New structures built in the City of Ukiah requiring water
service create demand for additional water storage capacity,
water transmission lines, and water production and treatment
facilities. In order to provide these facilities the follow-
ing fees are established.
Section 3851 - Fees established
The storage and transmission and production and treatment
facilities fees are based on the size of the service. Said
fees shall be payable at or before the time a building permit
is issued by the City for the construction of the proposed
structure.

Section 3852 - Fire service or fire sprinkler connection
Fire service or fire sprinkler connections shall be exempt
from the payment of the storage or transmission or production
and treatment facilities fees. However, a standby charge
shall be levied as follows:

Section 2. Publication. The Clerk is directed to cause this
ordinance to be published as provided by law in the Ukiah Daily Journal,
a newspaper of general circulation, published and printed in the
City of Ukiah.
Section 3. Effective DAte: This ordinance shall become effective
thirty (30) days after its adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 3rd day of Or_tober 1973, by the following
roll call vote:
AYES: Councilmen Norgard, Buxton, Pearson, Mayor Simpson
NOES: Councilman Weinkauf
