RESOLUTION NO. 96-9
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIl. OF THE CITY
OF UKIAH AUTHORIZING 1995-96 GRANT FUNDING
FOR COMMUNITY BASED, NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS
WHEREAS, within the City of Ukiah there are many non-profit, community-based organizations
which provide significant services to the citizens; and
WHEREAS, during these difficult economic times, those organizations are in need of financial
assistance to continue serving their targeted populations; and
WHEREAS, the City of Ukiah City Council desires to aid these agencies in light of their
substantial contribution to the welfare of the City; and
WHEREAS, the City of Llkiah General Fund has adequate capacity to fund $30,000 toward this
effort; and
WHEREAS, the City received 12 applications for funding under the "Non-Profit, Community
Based Organization Grant Assistance Program" for 1995-96.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Ukiah City Council does hereby
authorize grant funding for 1995-96 in the following amounts to the following organizations:

Community Care Linkages Program $3,000
Ford Street Project Shelter Food Preparation $3,000
Held-Poage Research Library Newspaper Microfilm $1,500

Plowshares Peace and Justice Center Health Screening Program $3,000
Police Activities League (PAL) Character Counts Training $3,000

Ukiah Senior Center Home Delivered Meals $3,000
