ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF UKIAH
AMENDING SECTION 3726 (a) and (b) OF
THE UKIAH CITY CODE RELATING TO SEWER
SERVICE CHARGES: URGENCY MEASURE.
The City Council of the City of Ukiah does hereby

Section 1. Amendment of Subsections (a) and (b) of Section 3726 of the
Ukiah City Code relating to sewer service charges.
Subsections (a) and (b) of Section 3726 of the Ukiah City Code are
amended to read:
"Section 3726 - Premises located within the corporate limits
of the City:
The amount of the service chage shall be as follows:
(a) For each family unit located in any premises other than a
"commercial or industrial unit", a charge of $2.75 per month.
(b) For each "commercial or

(d) The City Council may, from time to time, by resolution,
establish variable charges for processing units, dependent upon method of pro-
cessing, amounts of waste created by various methods of processing or packing,
and all other bases for differential charges.

Section 2. Urgency; effective date.
This Ordinance relates to charges for the usual and current expenses of

the City of Ukiah and shall become effective immediately up/adoption as an
urgency measure; provided, however, the charges therein contained shall be
increased as of the first day of October, 1967.
A declaration of facts of urgency are as follows:
That in order to comply with the bond covenants of the 1957 Sewer Revenue
___ Bonds, it is necessary to increase the sewer service charges immediately so
that sufficient funds will be available to provide for payment of bonds and
interest, for required reserves and for necessary costs of maintenance and
operation of the sewer system.
This ordinance was introduced and adopted as an urgency ordinance at the
regular meeting of September 13, 1967 by at least a 4/5 affirmative vote.
