RESOLUTION NO. 95-14
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UKIAH
AUTHORIZING 1994-95 GRANT FUNDING FOR
MENDOClNO COUNTY LIBRARY AND GREATER UKIAH CHAMBER OF COMMERCE
WHEREAS, within the City of Ukiah, the Mendocino County Library and the Greater
Ukiah Chamber of Commerce provide significant services to the citizens and business
community; and
WHEREAS, during these difficult economic times, both the Library and the Chamber
of Commerce are in need of financial assistance to continue furnishing their respective
services; and
WHEREAS, the City of Ukiah City Council desires to aid the Library and Chamber of
Commerce in light of their substantial contributions to the welfare of the City; and
WHEREAS, there is adequate capacity within the adopted budget to fund $66,000
for library and chamber of commerce activities.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Ukiah City Council does
hereby authorize grant funding for 1994-95 to the Mendocino County Library in the amount
of $45,000 and to the Greater Ukiah Chamber of Commerce in the amount of $21,000.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 7th day of September, 1994 by the following roll call vote:
AYES: Councilmembers Mastin, Shoemaker, Wattenburger, and Mayor Schneiter
NOES: None
ABSENT: Councilmember Malone
ABSTAIN: None
