HomeMy WebLinkAbout94-32 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 RESOLUTION NO. 94-32 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UKIAH ADOPTING MUNICIPAL GOLF COURSE RULES OF THE COURSE WHEREAS, the City Council is committed to providing the safest, most enjoyable Golf Course possible; and WHEREAS, there is a need to adopt and post rules for the welfare of all users of the Municipal Golf Course; and WHEREAS, Sections 1990 and 2001 of the City of Ukiah Municipal Code, prescribes regulations for the use of City Parks including use of alcoholic beverages. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ukiah that the City hereby establishes the following as the Municipal Golf Course Rules of the Course, and these rules are to replace existing signs at the Golf Course, as follows: CITY OF UKIAH MUNICIPAL GOLF COURSE RULES OF THE COURSE ALL PLAYERS are requested to adhere to the following course rules: 1. All players must check in at the Pro Shop before teeing off. 2. Each player must have a set of clubs. Shirts and shoes are required at all times. 3. Players will be paired into groups by the starter during busy periods as necessary. 4. Always observe golf etiquette. Players must play fast enough to keep up with the group ahead or allow faster players to play through. 5. Five somes are not permitted on weekends or holidays, except during tournaments. J Repair all ball marks on greens, divots in fairways, and rake all bunkers. Rakes are to be left in the bunker after use. Children under the age of six are not permitted on the course at any time. Beverages brought from outside the course, other than one six-pack size cooler per cart, will not be permitted on the course. Beer and wine are the only alcoholic beverages allowed on the course. The cart must go to the ball at right angles to the cart path. The driver shall avoid all wet spots and shall not stop in one. 11. No cart shall be driven closer to the greens than the red lines drawn in front of the greens, ar 30'. Observe all signs and barricades. 12. Simple or powered walking carts are to be brought no nearer than 10' to the edge of the green. 13. Carts are to remain on paths at all times when requested by Staff during wet or frosty weather. 14. All cart drivers must possess a valid driver's license. 15. Each private cart must bear a sticker showing that the current annual cart path use fee has been paid before it may be used on the course. 16. All cart operators or owners will be responsible for any damages to the facilities or grounds of the course caused by the use of said cart. ALL GOLFERS PLAY AT THEIR OWN RISK. the foregoing rules of the Ukiah Municipal Golf Course will be enforced.
