MILLVIEW COUNTY WATER DISTRICT
REGULAR. BOARD MEETING
TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 17, 2024
Call to Order: 5:02 p.m.
President, Tim Prince

Public Expression - Non -Agenda Items:
None.
Approval of Agenda
Director Cardoza made a motion, seconded by Director Ross, to approve the agenda. This
motion was passed with a unanimous aye vote.
Approval of Minutes
Director Ross made a motion, seconded by Director Cardoza, to approve the September
17, 2024, Regular Board Meeting Minutes. This motion was passed with a unanimous aye
vote.
Approval of Financials
Director Cardoza made a motion, seconded by Director Ross, to approve the Financials
for August & September 2024. The motion was passed with a unanimous aye vote.
Staff Reports
a. General Managers Report
i. GM Walker reported that state mandated lead inventory
inspections are ongoing, we are aware none was used in California,
but it is required. Approximately 95% of Millview has been
completed. Approximately 200 meters per day along with the
inputting of the data that is required.
ii. One of the wells at the Water Treatment Plant has been replaced.
iii. Masonite property is still waiting for the new driller to be selected
to continue Hydrology studies and drilling for RV well.
iv. Next month possible Draft Audit Report expected.
b. Office Managers Report
i. None.
Old Business
a. Report on Local Water District Projects
i. GM Walker reported that City of Ukiah Staff will continue to tour
Millview and Redwood Valley facilities to familiarize themselves
with the layout and operations.
ii. Meter change outs are continuing in Willow, Millview, and
Redwood Valley.
iii. Operators are keeping busy with leaks recently in River Estates
and Redwood Valley.
b. Report on Ukiah Valley Water District Projects (UVWA):
i. GM, Walker reported that the last meeting was cancelled due to
lack of quorum. Working on a revised JPA agreement which
includes minor language changes and addition of server language
back into the agreement.
C. Report on Eel -Russian Project Authority (ERPA):
i. GM, Walker reported that there were no new updates.
d. Report on Ackerman Bridge Updates:
i. None.
New Business
a. Consideration of Draft Letter to be Sent to Ratepayers About
Transition to the City of Ukiah
Director Cardoza made a motion, seconded by Director Ross to approve the Draft Letter to
Issue to Ratepayers About the Transition to the City of Ukiah. The motion was passed with a
unanimous aye vote.

ii. None.
Adjourn Meeting
Director Ross made a motion, seconded by Director DeMartini, to adjourn the meeting.
This motion passed Arith a unanimous aye vote. The meeting adjourned at 5:58 P.M.
