2.a.
Conduct of Public Hearing for Proposed Water Rate Adjustments, Adoption of Written
Determinations, and Direction to Adopt Separate Rate Resolutions Pursuant to Government
Code Section 66016 (AB 2257)
Recommended Action:
It is recommended that the UVWA Executive Committee:
1. Conduct the public hearing for proposed water rate adjustments for the City of Ukiah,
Willow County Water District, Millview County Water District, and Redwood Valley County
Water District;
2. Receive and consider the written objections submitted in connection with the proposed
water rate adjustments;
3. Determine and accept the final protest count for each service area pursuant to
Proposition 218, based on the number of valid written protests received as compared to
the total parcels subject to the proposed rates;
4. Adopt the written determinations responding to the objections pursuant to Government
Code section 66016 (AB 2257);
5. Recommend adoption of the proposed water rate adjustments for the City of Ukiah,
Willow County Water District, Millview County Water District, and Redwood Valley County
Water District through separate rate adoption resolutions for each agency, subject to the
protest count determination made at the conclusion of the public hearing; and
6. Direct that the written objections, written determinations, protest count determination,
and adopted resolutions be included as part of the official administrative record.

The Ukiah Valley Water Authority (UVWA) / Water Executive Committee Members welcomes input from the audience. In order
for everyone to be heard, please limit your comments to three (3) minutes per person and not more than ten (10) minutes per
subject. The Brown Act regulations do not allow action to be taken on audience comments on non-agenda items. If you wish to
submit written comments, please provide information to the UVWA, located at 300 Seminary Avenue, Ukiah, CA, 95482.
