HomeMy WebLinkAbout93-14 1 $ 6 ? $ 9 10 11 15 16 17 18 19 20 9.1 25 26 RESOLUTION NO. 93-' i RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UKIAH WAIVING 60-DAY NOTICING REQUIREMENT FOR COUNTY OF MENDOCINO TO LEASE BUILDINGS AT 10A-B CHERRY COURT WHEREAS, the Mendocino County Department of Social Services proposes to lease the buildings at 10A and B Cherry Court, Ukiah; and WHEREAS, the buildings will be used as the Family Center in the Family Preservation Program administered by the County Social Services Department; and WHEREAS, Government Code Section 25351(c) requires that the County Board of Supervisors give at least 60 days notice to the City Clerk before leasing office space within an incorporated city; and WHEREAS, Government Code Section 25351(d) provides that the City Council may waive this notice by resolution; and WHEREAS, the proposed use of the subject buildings by the County of Mendocino is allowed by the zoning of the property; and WHEREAS, without the waiver a delay in operational efficiency would occur for the Social Services Department since they propose to occupy the facilities by mid-August. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Ukiah City Council, in accordance with Government Code Section 25351(d), waives the notice to the City Clerk required by Government Code Section 25351(c) for the Social Services Department's lease of oYfice space at 10A&B Cherry Court within the City of Ukiah.
