HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC Reso 2025-25 - Amending Fee Schedule for Planning & Bldg Svcs RESOLUTION NO. 2025-25 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UKIAH AMENDING THE FEE SCHEDULE OF THE PLANNING AND BUILDING SERVICES DIVISIONS OF THE DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT TO ESTABLISH TWO FEES FOR THE VACANT AND ABANDONED PROPERTY REGISTRATION AND MAINTENANCE ORDINANCE PURSUANT TO CITY ADOPTED ORDINANCE 880 WHEREAS, 1. Planning and Building Permit and service fees of the City of Ukiah Community Development Department have not been updated since 2024; and 2. The Vacant and Abandoned Property Registration and Maintenance Ordinance, adopted by the City Council on January 15, 2025, as Ordinance No. 2024-1250, directed the establishment of a Vacant and Abandoned Property Registration Fee (§3482C) and Vacant and Abandoned Property Annual Monitoring Fee(§3486C); and 3. Based on the estimated amount of time it takes staff to register and annually monitor vacant and abandoned properties under Ordinance No. 2024-1250, it is reasonable and appropriate to establish new fees for these services. These fees include a Vacant and Abandoned Property Registration Fee of $150 and a Vacant and Abandoned Property Annual Monitoring Fee of$500; and 4. The City Council conducted a duly noticed public hearing on May 21, 2025, to discuss and received public comments on the proposed fees. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Ukiah hereby adopts the updated fee schedule for planning and building permits and services as listed on the attached Exhibit A. PASSED AND ADOPTED this 21 st day of May 2025, by the following roll call vote: AYES: Councilmembers Criss, Orozco, Sher, and Mayor Crane. NOES: None, ABSTAIN: None.
