RESOLUTION NO. 2024-47
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF UKIAH ESTABLISHING AND REPEALING TIME LIMITS
ON PARKING ON DESIGNATED STREETS PURSUANT TO UKIAH CITY CODE
SECTIONS 7160, 7161, 7163, AND 7164
WHEREAS, Ukiah City Code Sections 7160, 7163, and 7164 authorize the City Council, by
resolution, to designate certain streets or portions of streets in the City as being restricted to
standing or parking for a period of time not longer than two (2) hours or five (5) hours, at any
time specified by such resolution; and
WHEREAS, Ukiah City Code Sections 7160 and 7161 authorize the City Council, by resolution,
to designate certain streets or portions of streets in the City as being restricted to standing or
parking for a period of time not longer than ten (10) minutes or twenty-four (24) minutes, at any
time specified by such resolution; and
WHEREAS, Vehicle Code Section 22507 authorizes time limits on parking on designated
streets or portions of streets by ordinance or resolution, but requires signs or markings giving
adequate notice of the prohibition or restriction before the resolution or ordinance shall apply;
and
WHEREAS, The City Council has determined to apply or remove such restrictions on
designated street segments as further provided herein;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that:
1. The restriction of Ukiah City Code Section 7164, limiting parking to not more than five (5)
hours, shall apply at the following locations:
Street Street Segment
1. Mason Street Between Clara and Perkins Streets
2. Smith Street Between Mason and Main Streets
3. Pine Street Between Henry and Clay Streets
The restriction shall apply on both sides of the above street segments, except on portions of
said streets designated as "no parking areas" or where parking is otherwise restricted or
prohibited.
2. The restriction of Ukiah City Code Section 7163, limiting parking to not more than two (2)
hours, shall apply at the following locations:
1. Seminary Street

Between State and Oak Streets,
including current 24-minute parking
space near corner of Oak Street.
The restriction shall apply on both sides of the above street segments, except on portions of
said streets designated as "no parking areas" or where parking is otherwise restricted or
prohibited.
3. The restrictions of Ukiah City Code Section 7161, limiting parking to not more than ten (10)
minutes shall no longer apply at the following locations:
1. North State Street Between Smith and Standley Streets
4. The restrictions of Ukiah City Code Section 7163, limiting parking to not more than two (2)
hours, shall no longer apply at the following locations:
1. Oak Street Between Scott and Henry Streets
2. Church Street Between Pine and Dora Streets
3. Perkins Street Between Pine and Dora Streets
4. Standley Street Between Pine and Dora Streets
5. Smith Street Between Pine and Dora Streets
6. Henry Street Between Pine and Dora Streets
6. Bush Street Between Henry and Clay Streets
7. Dora Street Between Clay and Stephenson
Streets
5. The restrictions of Ukiah City Code Section 7164, limiting parking to not more than five (5)
hours, shall no longer apply at the following locations:
1. Pine Street Between Scott and Henry Streets
2. Oak Street Between Seminary Avenue and Mill
Street
3. Stephenson Street Between Pine and Dora Streets
4. Clay Street Between Oak and Dora Streets
6. Days and times when restriction applies. The 5-hour and 2-hour parking limits shall apply
at the above locations on the following days and times:

1. Monday -Friday (5 days/week), 8:00 am — 5:00 pm
excluding legal holidays

2. The above prohibition/limitations shall apply at the locations, days and times specified
immediately after the City Engineer or his/her designee installs signs giving adequate notice of
the prohibition or restriction.
3. Any previously adopted City Council resolution establishing a different time limit on parking at
the above -locations is hereby repealed.
PASSED, ADOPTED and APPROVED this 60 day of November, 2024 by the following vote
on roll call vote:

Councilmembers Rodin, Orozco, Sher, Crane, and Mayor Duenas.
NOES:
None.

None.
ABSENT:
None.
