HomeMy WebLinkAbout2005-39RESOLUTION NO. 2005-39 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF UKIAH AMENDING THE GENERAL PLAN WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the redesignation of the "HDR" Land Use Designation is consistent with the goals and policies of the Ukiah General Plan because it would be merged with lands that are designated with the "HDR" Land Use Designation and the new Land Use Designation is consistent with the General Plan goals and policies; and WHEREAS, the amendment of the General Plan Land Use Classification is necessary to establish multiple-family apartment complexes that would provide substantial additions to area housing stocks and be consistent with applicable zoning standards and the compatibility criteria of the Ukiah Airport Master Plan; and WHEREAS, the City Planning Department conducted an Initial Study to ascertain if the proposed General Plan Amendment would have significant adverse impacts on the environment; and WHEREAS, based on the analysis contained in the Initial Study, staff is able to conclude that the proposed General Plan Amendment project, as mitigated, would not have a significant adverse effect on the environment; and WHEREAS, based on the conclusions reached in the Initial Study, staff has determined that a Mitigated Negative Declaration is appropriate for the Ruff-Rocha-Menton General Plan Amendment; NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Ukiah hereby amends the General Plan Land Use Map by re-designating Assessor Parcel Number 003-050- 66 from "C" (Commercial) to "HDR" (High Density Residential) and Assessor Parcel Numbers 003-050-29, 003-050-85 and 003-050-86 from "MDR" (Medium Density Residential) to "HDR" (High Density Residential). PASSED AND ADOPTED on March 16, 2005, by the following roll call vote: AYES: NOES: None ABSTAIN: None ABSENT: None ATTEST: Councilmember Crane, McCowen, Rodin, Baldwin, and Mayor Ashiku ~M~k Ashiku, Mayor Marie Ulvila, City Clerk
