HomeMy WebLinkAbout97-34 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 RESOLUTION NO. 97-34 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UKIAH FIXING LIMITATION ON CITY EXPENDITURES FOR FISCAL YEAR 1996-97 WHEREAS, the provisions of Proposition 4, (Article Xlll B of the California Constitution), the spending initiative, passed by the voters of the State of California, place a limitation on the expenditures of governmental agencies; and WHEREAS, the above referenced legislation requires the City of Ukiah to establish its appropriation limit for the 1996-97 fiscal year; and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance of the City of Ukiah has computed the limitation of the City of Ukiah for the 1996-97 fiscal year in accordance with the provisions thereof in the amount of $17,573,297; and WHEREAS, the appropriation limitation for the 1996-97 fiscal year was determined by utilizing the change in California per capita income for the 1996-97 fiscal year and the percentage of population change within Mendocino County as estimated by the State of California, Department of Finance estimates as of January 1, 1996. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the budgetary appropriation limitation of the City of Ukiah for fiscal year 1996-97 is hereby fixed at $17,573,297, as set forth on Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof by this reference. PASSED AND ADOPTED this 6th day of November, 1996, by the following roll call vote: AYES: Councilmembers Mastin, Malone, Wattenburger, and Vice-Mayor Schneiter NOES: None. ABSENT: Mayor Schneiter.
