HomeMy WebLinkAbout97-25 1 5 ? 9 10 11 12 13 15 16 19 20 RESOLUTION NO. 97-25 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UKIAH ABOLISHING ON-STREET PARKING SPACE AND ESTABLISHING A NO PARKING ZONE ON THE WEST SIDE OF NORTH BUSH STREET ADJACENT TO THE COUNTY ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICE WHEREAS, the City Council may by resolution designate portions of streets upon which the standing, parking, or stopping of vehicles is prohibited or restricted pursuant to Article 11, Chapter I, Division 8, of the Municipal Code; and WHEREAS, the Traffic Engineering Committee (Traffic Engineer) received a request from the County of Mendocino Administrative Office that parking be eliminated by establishing a no parking zone on the west side of North Bush Street adjacent to the County Administrative Office; and WHEREAS, the Traffic Engineer recommends that the request be approved so that sight distance can be enhanced tbr vehicular traffic leaving the southern most driveway of the County Administrative Office parking lot. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Ukiah City Council that a no parking zone be established on the west side of North Bush Street adjacent to the County Administrative Office. The City Engineer shall determine the length of the no parking zone. PASSED AND ADOPTED this call vote.
