ABSENff.: N~ethe past infants and small children under the age of six have
accompanied on occasion players and ot~rs of ~:~al Golf
Course. ·
AT ST ~yone pre~ent on the golf course assumes the risk of being hit

for that reason, are exposed-to an unreasonable risk of harm, when present
on the golf course.
4. Those responsible for bringing infants and small children onto
the Municipal Golf Course are easily distracted and are unable to
adequately protect them.
5. To prevent injuries and reduce the City's exposure to personal
injury claims, the City Council finds and declares that it is necessary to
prohibit the presence of infants and small Children on the Municipal Golf
Course.
SECTION TWO.
Section 1997a is hereby added to the Ukiah City Code to read as
follows:
Section 1997a - Infants and small children prohibited on Municipal
Golf Course:
No person shall bring an infant or small child under the age of six
onto the Municipal Golf Course grounds during hours when the course is
open to play. This prohibition shall not apply to the parking area
immediately adjacent to the municipal club house or to the interior of the
buildings comprising the club house, pro shop and community meeting room.
SECTION THREE.
This ordinance shall be published as required by law and shall become
effective thirty (30) days after it is adopted by the City Council.
