RESOLUTION NO. 78-28
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF UKIAH ESTABLISHING FEES AND CHARGES AT
THE UKIAH MUNICIPAL SOLID WASTE SITE
WHEREAS, the City Council has adopted the budget for
fiscal year 1977-78, and

WHEREAS~ the budget anticipates su~ .. revenue
from the disposal site to make the operation self-supportinc~,

WHEREAS, in order to meet budgeted coals a rate adjust~..
ment is necessary
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the following fees
and charges are hereby established for materials delivered
to the Solid Waste Site.
A. ~'dateria! delivered in compacted form and in
vehicle havin~ an operatinc~ compaction device-
$2.25/yard
B. Material delivered in a loose uncompacted state-
$1.50/yard
First 5 yards per delivery~ $1.50/yd.
Additional yardage- same load: $1.25/yd.
C. Material delivered in a 1/2 or 3/~ ton t~icku~
truck or station wa~on- $1.25/loa~

D Materials in the opinion o,~

employee that h~ve been compacted and transferred
to another vehisle for the ?urpose of avoiding the

compacted material charge shall be charged at
the rate of $2.25 per cubic yard. Fees charged
under this provision are subject to appeal by
the payor to the City Manager and City Council
on the condition that the payor immediately regis-
tered his protest with the Disposal Site Gate-
person. Fees thus paid shall be received under
protest and shall be held pending a decision on
the merit of the appeal.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that these rates shall be
effective September 1, ].977.
