HomeMy WebLinkAbout78-13 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 30 31 32 RESOLUTION NO. 78 · ! - RESOLUTION WITHDP~WING TERRITORY OF ANNEXATION NO. 76-12 FROM THE UKIAH VALLEY FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT WHEREAS, by reason of annexation to the City of Ukiah of the territory known as Annexation No. 76-12 it is no longer necessary that the area within said Annexation No. 76-12 be included within the Ukiah Valley Fire Protection District, and WHEREAS, Section 13952 of the Health and Safety Code of the State of California provides that whenever a portion of a district is included within a city by reason of annexation, such portion may be withdrawn from the district by resolution of the legisla- tive body of the city; NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Ukiah does hereby RESOLVE: That it hereby finds that the territory described as Annexa- tion No. 76-12 has been annexed to and is now a part of the City of Ukiah, and it hereby' declares that the territory described as Annexation No. 76-12 be, and the same hereby is, withdrawn from the Ukiah Valley Fire Protection District. Said withdrawal is to be effective as of July 31, 1977, and pursuant to said Section 13952 said District shall furnish fire protection services to the territory until t~e 1~~ day of July next succeeding. The area so withdrawn is more specifically described on the attached "Exhibit A" which is incorporated herein by reference. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to file copies of th~ resolution with the Clerk of the Mendocino County Board of Super- visors with the appropriate letter of transmittal so that copies will be sent to the Mendocino County Assessors Office and the State Board of Equalization. PASSED AND ADOPTED this 20th day of July, 1977, by the following roll call vote: AYES: Councilmen Brannon~ Feibusch~ Councilwoman Snyder~ Va,~or NOES: CoulIc~ ±xtan ABSENT: None MAYOR EXHIBIT "A" DENNY & GIANOLI - McCARTY ANNEXATION Ail that certain real property situated in Lot 31 of Healey's Survey and Map of the Yokayo Rancho, more particularly described as follows: Beginning at an iron pipe at the intersection of Gobbi Street (formerly known as River Road) with the West line of Oak Manor Drive as shown on a record of survey for J. H. Pomeroy and Company, Inc., filed in Map Case 2, Drawer 9, Page 39, Mendocino County Records; thence North 81° 42' 03" East, along the North line of said Gobbi Street, 45.91 feet to the point of the intersec- tion of the North line of Gobbi Street with the East line of Babcock Lane; thence South 8° 28' 00" East, along the East line of Babcock Lane, 652.07 feet; thence South 83° 44' 12" West, 415.35 feet to a 1/2 inch iron pipe described in Book 872 of the Officials Records, Page 230, Mendocino County Records; thence North 8° 28' 00" West and parallel with the East line of said Babcock Lane, 557.31 feet to a 1/2 inch iron pipe marked RE 10430 and set in the fence line on the South side of Gobbi Street; thence South 85° 50' 07" West, 277.80 feet to a point on the existing City limits, thence North 6° 41' 15" West, 60.00 feet to a point on the North line of Gobbi Street; thence North 81° 42' 03" East, along the North line of said Gobbi Street 644.29 feet to the point of beginning, containing 6.6 acres, more or less.
