HomeMy WebLinkAbout75-33 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 30 31 32 RESOLUTION NO. 75-33 RESOLUTION WITHDRAWING TERRITORY OF ANNEXATION NO. 74-2 FROM THE UKIAH VALLEY FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT WHEREAS, by reason of annexation to the City of Ukiah of the territory known as Annexation No. 74-2 it is no longer necessary that the area within said Annexation No. 74-2 be included within the Ukiah Valley Fire Protection District, and WHEREAS, Section 13952 of the Health and Safety Code of the State of California provides that whenever a portion of a district is included within a city by reason of annexation, such portion may be withdrawn from the district by resolution of the legislative body of the city; NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Ukiah does hereby RESOLVE: That it hereby finds that the territory described as Annexation No. 74-2 has been annexed to and is now a part of the City of Ukiah, and it hereby declares that the territory described as Annexation No. 74-2 be, and the same hereby is, withdrawn from the Ukiah Valley Fire Protection District. Said withdrawal is to be effective as of October 31, 1974, and pursuant to said Section 13952 said District shall furnish fire protection services to the territory until the 1st day of July of the fiscal year next succeeding. The area so withdrawn is more specifically described on the attached "Exhibit A" which is incorporated herein by reference. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to file copies of this resolution with the Clerk of the Mendocino County Board of Supervisors with the appropriate letter of transmittal so that copies will be sent to the Mendocino County Assessor Office and the State Board of Equalization. PASSED AND ADOPTED this .2~ day of October, 1974 , by the following roll call vote: AYES: Councilmen Simpson, Wood, Xor~ard, ~inkauf, Xay~.~,Pe~ NOES: None ~.___~ ~ ~' ~) ~ ~ ABSENT: None '~~~ ~~'?--- -~.~4~ MAYOR A CI~ CLERK May 30, 1974 ANNEXATION NO. 74-2 TO THE CITY OF UKIAH KENNEDY ADDITION Beginning at a 4"x4" concrete monument marked "A-i" which is the northwest corner of "Munson's Second Subdivision" as shown on that certain map as filed in the Mendocino County Recorder's Office in Map Case 1, Drawer 7, Page 124, said point also being described in Book 3 of Mendocino County Official Records at Page 155 and also being a point on the present City Limits of the City of Ukiah, a Municipal Corporation, County of Mendocino, State of California; thence leaving said City Limits and following the west line of the above mentioned subdivision South 9048'30'' East 500.00 feet to an 3/4" iron pipe marked "M 1" LS2207, said iron pipe being the southwest corner of the heretofore mentioned "Munson's Second Subdivision" and also being the northwest corner of "Munsons Subdivision" according to that certain map also filed in the Mendocino County Recorder's Office in Map Case 1, Drawer 7, Page 124; thence continuing South ~°~'30" East, and following the west line of second mentioned "~unson Subdivision" 508.76 feet to the southwest corner thereof; thence continuing South 9048'30'' East 58.79 feet, more or less, to the south right-of-way line of California State Highway 222, aka Talmage Road; thence following said south right of way line through a curve to the left, from a tangent bearing North 85°51'58'' West radius 960 feet, a]gle of l°36'47'', length of 27.03 feet; thence North 87028'45' West 16.7.25 feet to a point on the east line of the Northwestern Pacific Railroad right of way; thence continuing North 87°2B'45'' West 71.60 fee'~ to a point on the west said right of wall line, said point also being a point on the present City Limits of the heretofore mentioned City of Ukiah; thence following said City Limits north and east to the point of beginning, containing 6.27 acs. more or less.
