HomeMy WebLinkAbout999ORDINANCE NO. 999 ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UKIAH AMENDING DIVISION 8, CHAPTER 1, SECTION 7008 OF THE UKIAH CITY CODE REGARDING HOLIDAYS FOR ENFORCEMENT OF PARKING REGULATIONS The City Council of the City of Ukiah hereby ordains as follows: SECTION ONE Section 7008 of Chapter 1, Division 8 of the Ukiah City Code is hereby amended to read as follows: §7008: "HOLIDAYS" DEFINED: Within the meaning of this Chapter, "holidays" are New Year's Day (January 1), Martin Luther King Jr. Day (third Monday in January), Judicial Day (February 12), Washington's Day (third Monday in February), Memorial Day (last Monday in May), Independence Day (July 4), Labor Day (first Monday in September), Admissions Day (September 9), Columbus Day (second Monday in October), Veterans Day (November 11), Thanksgiving Day (fourth Thursday in November), and Christmas Day (December 25). If any of the holidays falls upon a Saturday, the Friday proceeding is a holiday; if any of the holidays falls on a Sunday, the Monday following is a holiday. SECTION TWO This Ordinance shall be published as required by law and shall become effective thirty (30) days after it is adopted.
