HomeMy WebLinkAbout74-62 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 30 31 32 RESOLUTION NO. 74-62 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UKIAH CALLING FOR A CONTRACT WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF CALIFORNIA HIGHWAY PATROL FOR PARTICIPATION IN THE AVA PROGRAM WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 22660 of the California Vehicle Code the City of Ukiah adopted Ordinance No. 617 providing for the abatement of abandoned vehicles on private property, and WHEREAS, the State of California has established an abandoned vehicle trust fund to be administered by the Department of California Highway Patrol, and WHEREAS, the City of Ukiah by virtue of having adopted Ordinance No. 617 is eligible to participate in the Abandoned Vehicle Abatement Program administered by the Department of California Highway Patrol thereby becoming eligible for re- imbursement for operational and administrative costs of abatement. NOW, THEREFORE, it is hereby resolved that the City Council of the City of Ukiah requests that a contract for participation in the AVA Program administered by the Depart- ment of California Highway Patrol be entered into between the City of Ukiah and said Department to cover the period from July 1, 1974 to June 30, 1975, and authorizes James A. Swayne, City Manager to sign same.
