RESOLUTION NO. 76-23
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
UKIAH STATING ITS INTENTION TO ABANDON CERTAIN
PROPERTY CONSISTING OF AN UNNAMED ALLEYWAY
WHEREAS, an unnamed and unimproved alleyway lies at the rear and
south of parcels at the southeast corner of Leslie Street and Peach Street,
and,
WHEREAS, staff review and evaluation has determined that the alleyway
serves no usefull purpose and,
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission at its regular meeting of October 16,
1975 recommended that said alleyway be abandoned and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Ukiah is empowered to vacate
said alleyway pursuant to the authority contained in the California
Streets and Highways Code, Sections 8300 through 8324
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Ukiah does hereby
RESOLVE:
That it intends to vacate the aforementioned unnamed alleyway
more particularly described on a map on file with the City Clerk, and
establishes as the date and time for the required public hearing, Decem-
ber 3, 1975, at 8:00 p.m. or as soon thereafter as the matter may be
heard in the Council Chambers.. At said public hearing it is the duty of
the City Council to determine upon a showing of evidence that said alley-
way is unnecessary for present or prospective public purposes.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 5th day of November , 1975.
