RESOLUTION NO. 74-16
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF UKIAH AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF
AN AGREEMENT FOR PROMOTIONAL SERVICES
WITH THE GREATER UKIAH CHAMBER OF COMMERCE
WHEREAS, the City has customarily contracted with the
Greater Ukiah Chamber of Commerce for promotional and adver-
tising services and,
WHEREAS, the Council believes that it is in the best
interest of the City to continue this program,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that that certain agree-
ment attached hereto and made a part hereof between the
Greater Ukiah Chamber of Commerce and the City of Ukiah is
hereby approved and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED the Mayor is authorized to
execute same on behalf of the City.

ADVERTISING ACTIVITIES FOR THE ~,-~v -- ~-~
THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into in duplicate by and
between the City oF _ -

association, hereinafter called "Chamber",
WI TNE S S E T H:
~HE~S., Chamber is located in the City of Ukiah and is
am association formed for the purpose of making known the virtues
and advantages of the City of Ukiah for the general purpose of
attracting visitors, settlers or businesses to such area, and

has experience and facilities for promotion and advertising
work:
NOW, THEREFORE, the parties hereto agree as follows:
i. The Ch~nzber agrees to carry on a continuing program of
advertising and promotional activities designed to make
known the ~irtues and advantages of the City of Ukiah.
2. The Chamhe= agrees to exhibit or advertise the current
'commercial, industrial, climatic, educational, recreation,
~ -culture%, and other resources and advantages of the City of Ukiah.
3.. The Chamber agrees, to perform such further and other services
as City may from time to time require subject to 'the
' availability of adequate funding..
4. City agrees to make the following payments, provide the
following utilities, and perform the following services:
a) City hereby agrees to pay to Chamber the s~ of Fourteen
Thousand-($14,000.00) to be paid one-half during. Dec~ber
1973'and one-half'during April,. 1974.

Ch-amber agrees in accepting from City the monies herein
agreed to be paid; to use said monies only for %hose

City Chamber further agrees that suck monies shall be
used °nly for and. in accordance with the proposed uses
heretofore submitted by Chamber, to wit:

(2) Promotional Industrial Development
(3) Promotional - Retail
(4)' Promotional - Tourism
(5) Brochures

Ch~_mber may expend monies received from City on the projects
enumerated above in such ~ounts deemed necessary by Ch~ber~
not t° exceed the ~mounts set forth for each project.
Chamber also agrees-to furnish to City before termination of.
