HomeMy WebLinkAbout72-1510 11 12 14 15 17 18 19 2O 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 2~ 29 30 31 RESOLUTION NO. 72-15 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UKIAH RELATIVE TO APPROVING PARTICIPATION BY LOCAL HOUSING OWNERS IN THE FEDERAL RENT SUPPLEMENT PROGRAM WHEREAS, under the provisions of Section 1.01 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1965, the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development is authorized to enter into contracts to make rent supplement payments to certain qualified housing owners on behalf of qualified low income families who are elderly, handicapped, displaced, victims of natural disasters, or occupants of substandard housing; and WHEREAS, the provisions of Section 1o01 cannot be made available to housing owners in certain locations unless the governing body of the locality has by resolution given approval for such participation in the Federal Rent Supplement Program; NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Ukiah does hereby RESOLVE: That approval is granted for participation in the Federal Rent Supplement Program by qualified housing owners of property located in the City of Ukiah, County of Mendocino. PASSED AND ADOPTED this 18th day of August, 1971. AYES: Councilmen Scotto, Buxton, Simpson, Pearson, and Mayor Norgard. NOES: None ABSENT: None ATTEST: CITY CLERK
