HomeMy WebLinkAbout72-01,ORiG F AL, 10 3.1 15 14 15 16 17 18 19 24, 25 27 5O 51 RESOLUTION NO. 72-1 DECLARING RESULTS OF ELECTION WHEREAS, it appears that Notice of Election was duly and legally given, that voting precincts were properly established, and that in all respects said election received and canvassed, and the returns thereof made, determined, and declared in time form and manner as required by the laws of the State of California providing for and regulating Municipal Elections in cities of the General Law Class, and WHEREAS, the City Council of said City of Ukiah met in the Council Chambers thereof on Tuesday, the 6th day of July, 1971, to canvass returns of said election and install the newly elected officers, and WHEREAS, the City Council finds as a result of said canvass, the number of votes cast, the names of the persons voted for, and other matters as required by law to be as hereinafter stated, NOW, THEREFORE, it is hereby resolved, determined and declared as follows: That said Special Municipal Election was held and conducted in the City of Ukiah on Tuesday, June 29, 1971, in time, form and manner pre- scribed by law; That there were five (5) voting precincts established in said City for the purpose of holding said election and that said precincts are described in the Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference. That the matters enumerated in Section 22933 of the Elections Code are contained in the State of Election which statement is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference. RESOLVED THEREFORE, that at said Special Municipal Election held in the City of Ukiah, June 29, 1971 the following person was elected to the following office: LORRAINE C. PEARSON was elected a member of the City Council to fill the unexpired term of Harold D. Henderson, deceased, said term to expire -1- on the date of the General Municipal Election to be held in April, 1974, or until h~r successor is elected and qualified. PASSED AND ADOPTED this 6th day of July, 1971.
