RESOLUTION OF INTENT TO BEGIN
ABATEMENT PROCEEDINGS
WHEREAS, the provisions of Division 3, Chapter 10, of the Ukiah City Code,
provide that all buildings or structures which are structurally unsafe, or are
dilapidated from old age, neglect, decay or other causes within the City of Ukiah,
which constitute a fire menace or are dangerous to human life, or a likely resort
for vagrant or dissolute persons, may be declared a nuisance by the City Council
of the City of Ukiah and thereafter abated as provided therein, and
WHEREAS, the Building Inspector has made inspection of the building located
on real property as hereinafter described and has declared it to be unsafe and/or
a hazard to the safety, health and public welfare; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UKIAH, AS FOLLOWS:
This resolution su.percedes and replaces Resolution No. 70-19, "Resolution Of
Intent To Begin Abatement Proceedings", recorded March 31, 1970, 3:25 p.m. in
Book 813 page 635 of the Official Records, Mendocino County, California.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that it is the intention of this Council to begin legal
proceeding of abatement under Division 3, Chapter 10 of the Ukiah City Code on the
following described property:
A building located at 755 South State Street, Ukiah, California; situate
on property owned by Mrs. Arlyss Bromm and described as Parcel 8, Page 43,
Book 1 of the Assessor's Map of the County of Mendocino. Said building is
further described as being located approximately 70 feet west of the East
line and 10 feet north of the South line of said parcel; be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the building or structure listed above is hereby de-
clared to be a public nuisance as provided by Section 3300 of the Ukiah City Code
and it is hereby ordered to be abated by repair, rehabilitation, demolition or
removal; be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Building Inspector is hereby ordered to take all
proceedings provided for in Division 3, Chapter 10 of the Ukiah City Code; be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Clerk be and she is hereby authorized and
directed to forward a certified copy of this Resolution to the CoUnty Recorder' of
Mendocino County for recordation.
