HomeMy WebLinkAbout70-31RESOLUTION NO. 70-31 RESOLUTION OF INTENT TO BEGIN ABATEMENT PROCEEDINGS WHEREAS, the provisions of Division 3, Chapter 10, of the Ukiah City Code, provide that all buildings or structures which are structurally unsafe, or are dilapidated from old age, neglect, decay or other causes within the City of Ukiah, which constitute a fire menace or are dangerous to human life, or a likely resort for vagrant or dissolute persons, may be declared a nuisance by the City Council of the City of Ukiah and thereafter abated as provided therein, and WHEREAS, the Building Inspector has made inspection of the building located on real property as hereinafter described and has declared it to be unsafe and/or a hazard to the safety, health and public welfare, now therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UKIAH, AS FOLLOWS: This Resolution supercedes and replaces Resolution No. 70-20, "Resolution Of Intent To Begin Abatement Proceedings", recorded March 31, 1970, 3:27 p.m. in Book 813 page 637 of the Official Records, Mendocino County, California. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that it is the intention of this Council to begin legal proceeding of abatement under Division 3, Chapter 10 of the Ukiah City Code on the following described property: A building located at 1100 North Pine Street, Ukiah, California; situate on property owned by Mr. and Mrs. Kurt G. Schmitz and described as Parcel 8, Page 43, Book 1 of the Assessor's Map of the County of Mendocinoo Said building is further described as being located approximately 140 feet north of the intersection of Pine and Magnolia Streets and approximately 9 feet west of the West .curb of Pine Street; be it FURTHER RESOLVED,. that the building or structure listed above is hereby de- clared to be a public nuisance as provided by Section 3300 of the Ukiah City Code and it is hereby ordered to be abated by repair, rehabilitation, demolition or removal; be it FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Building Inspector is hereby ordered to take all proceedings provided for in Division 3, Chapter 10 of the Ukiah City Code; be it FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Clerk be and she is hereby authorized and directed to forward a certified copy of this Resolution to theCounty Recorder of Mendocino County for recordation° PASSED AND ADOPTED this 27th day of May , 1970.
