The City Council of the City of Ukiah, California,
does hereby RESOLVE:
That Amendment No. 1 to Grant Agreement for Project
~{Oo 9-04-047-600~ (Ukiah Municipal Airport), a true copy of
which is attached hereto and incorporated, herein by reference,
is hereby approved and accepted, and the City Manager of the
City of Ukiah, California, Lyell C. Cash, is hereby authorized
and directed to execute the acceptance of said Amendment No o io

WHBREAS~ the Federal Aviation Administration (hereinafter referred to as the
'~AA") has determined it to be in the interest of the United States that
the Grant Agreement between the FAAs acting for and on behalf of the United
States~ and the City of Ukiah~ Galifornia~ (hereinafter referred to as the
"Sponsor") accepted by said Sponsor on the 29th day of August, 1959, be
amended as hereinafter provided.
WRERF~, it has been determined necessary and desirable to revise the scope
of the development to be accomplished under this project by deleting therefrom
all requirements relating to the acquisition of Parcels 13 through 21; all as
depicted in the property map identified as ~chibit '~" for this project.
NO~ THEREFORE~ WITN~SSETH:
1. That in consideration of the benefits to accrue to the parties hereto~
the FAA acting for and on behalf of the United States~ on the one part~
and the Sponsor~ on the other part~ do hereby mutually agree that said
Grant Agreement be and hereby is amended as follows:
a. By deleting the description of the airport development as set forth
in the second 'W~REA~" paragraph on Page 1 of said Grant Agreement
and substituting the following described work in lieu thereof:
Land acquisition (Parcels 9 through 12)
b. By deleting the requir~nts of Paragraph 8 of said Grant Agreement
insofar as Parcels 13 through 21 are concerned;
c. By adding the following Paragraphs on Page 3 of Grant Agreement:
10. It is understoo4 and agreed that the terms "Administrator of the
Federal Aviation Agency"s "Administrator" or 'Tederal Aviation
Agency" wherever they appear in this Agre~nt, in the Project
Applications plans and specifications or other documents constituting
a part of this Agre~t shall be de~m4 to mean the Federal Aviation
Administrator or the Federal Aviation Administration, as the case
may be,
11. The Sponsor further covenants and agrees that it viii displace
the rum~ay threshold lights at both ends of the runway with or
without Federal aid to the lo~ations shown on the Airport Layout
Plan approved by this office on April l0s 196&s vithin one (1)
year after the date of ice a~c~pCance of this ~n~ndment to the
Grant Agr~e~nto

Grant Agreement to be duly executed as of the day of ,

The City of Ukiah, California, does hereby ratify and adopt all statements,
warranties, covenants, and agrements contained in Amendment No. 1 to
Grant Agreement and does hereby accept said Amendment and by such acceptance
agrees to all of the terms and conditions thereof.

That I have examined the foregoing Amendment to subject Grant Agreement and
the proceedings taken by said Sponsor relating thereto, and find that the
acceptance thereof by said Sponsor has been duly authorized and that the
execution thereof is in all respects due and proper and in accordance with
the laws of the State of California and further that, in my opinion, said
Amendment to Grant Agreement constitutes a legal and binding obligation of
the Sponsor in accordance with the temns thereof.
