HomeMy WebLinkAbout65-31-ARESOLUTION NO. 65-3 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF UKIAH, CALIFORNIA, URGING INCLUSION OF HIGHWAY 101 INTO THE FEDERAL ! NTERSTATE HI GHWAY SYSTEM WHEREAS, U. S. Highway 101 is a major California, Oregon, and Washington and interstate route connecting linking important trade centers along such route; and WHEREAS, Highway 101 is also a true international i ng Mexico, the U. S. and Canada; and, highway connect- WHEREAS, the development of Highway 101 as a part of the Federa~ · Interstate Highway System is of vital concern to every community along the Pacific seaboard; NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council~ of the City of Ukiah does hereby RESOLVE as follows: That the City of Ukiah strongly support the inclusion of Highway 101 into the Interstate Highway System and .earnestly urges that the 89th Congress be memorialized to take action to effect this inclusion at its next session. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that certified copies of this Resolution be sent to the Honorable John C. Kluzyuski, Chairman, House of Representatives Roads Subcommittee; to the Honorable Don H. Clausen, Member of Congress.: to the Honorable Thomas H. Kuchel, U. S. Senator; to the Honorable George Murphy, U. S.
