RESOLUTION DECLARING RESULTS OF ELECTION
WHEREAS, a General MUNICIPAL ELECTION was held and conducted
in the City of Ukiah on Tuesday, the 13th day of April, 1948, as
required by law;
AND WHEREAS, it appears that notice of said election was duly
and legally given, that voting precincts were properly established,
and that in all respects said election was held and conducted and the
votes cast thereat received and canvassed, and the returns thereof,
made, determined, and declared in time, form and manner as required by
the general laws of the State providing for and regulating MunicSpal
Elections in cities of the fifth and sixth class.
AND WPLEREAS, the City Council finds as a result of the said
Canvass and the number of votes cast the names of the persons voted
for, and other matter required by law, to be as hereinafter stated,
now therefore it is here;
RESOLVED, determined and declared as follows:
That the said regular Municipal Election was held and conduct'ed
in the City of Ukiah on Tuesday, April 13th, 1948, in time, form and
manner as required by law;
That there were two voting precincts established in said City
for the purpose of holding said election, as follows:
Consolidated precinct "A" comprising Precincts No. One, Two,
Three, and Eight, and Consolidated Precinct "B" comprising Precincts
Nos. Four, Five, Six and Seven, established for holding State and
County Elections.
That the whole number of votes cast in Consolidated Precinct
"A" was 725 and the whole number of votes cast in Consolidated
Precinct "B" was 689 and that the whole number of votes cast in
said City of Ukiah was 1414.
That the names of the persons voted for the officers for which
they were voted, the nSmber of votes received by each of ~aid persons
in said Precincts, together with the whole number of votes which
they received in the entire City, a~e as follows:

That the propositions voted upon, the number of votes received for
and against same in Precincts "A" and "B" were as follows:
Shall the Ordinances as follows: "Ordinance No. 252 entitled
'An Ordinance to set apart Certain Municipal Property as as Playground.
To create a Playground Commission, Fix its Powers and Duties, and to
Provide for the Maintenance, Operation, Support and Use of Said
Playground' is hereby re.healed" be adopted?

RESOLVED, therefore that at the said General Municipal Election
held in the City of Ukiah April 13, 1948, the following persons were
elected to the following offices respe$ively:
Lawrence Wildberger was elected a member of the City Council
for the full term of four years from and after Tuesday, April 20, 194B and
until his successor is elected and qualified.
Russell Edwin Richardson was elected a member of the City Council
for the full term of four years from and after Tuesday, April 20, 1948,
and until his successor is elected and qualified.
Henry G. Mercer was elected a member of the City Council for the
full term of four years from and after Tuesday, A~ril 20, 1948, and
until his successor is elected and qualified.
A. R. Spreckelsen was elected Clerk of the City of Ukiah for the
full term of four years Prom and after Tuesday, April 20, 1948, and
until his successor is elected and qualified.
Harold R. Pauli was elected Treasurer of the City of Ukiah for the
full term of four years from and. after Tuesday, April 20, 1948, and until
his successor is elected and qualified.
RESOLVED, furSher that~.:t~e~.l~fOllowfn~ propositions were adopted
at said election:
Shall the Ordinance as follows: "'Ordinance No. 252 entitled "An Ordinance

repealed" be adopted?
Sheall the City of Ukiah incur bonded indebtedness in the amount of
$64,000.00 in lawful $oney of the United States for the construction
of improvements consisting of additions and alterations of the Sewer
Disposal Plant of the City of U~iah consisting of sludge beds,
digester, clar£fier, chlorinating houses and equipment, flow recorder,
tractor and plow, pumps, valves and pipe lines and other necessary
equipment and appurtenances for the operation thereof?
Shall the City of Uxiah incur bonded indebtedness in the amount of
$86,000.00 in lawful money of the United States for the construction
of sewers, a municipal improvement consisting of sewer mains, laterals,
rights of way, man holes, lamp holes and appurtenances for the dis-
posal of sewers of said City of Uktah?
Shall the City of Ukiah incur bonded indebtedness in the amount of
$2~7,000.00 in lawful money of the United States for the Construction
of the water reservoir and distribution system, a municipal improvemerZ
consisting of water reservoir with a capacity of two and one-half
million gallons, togother with additional water distribution system
consisting of pipe lines, mains, valves and rights of way, and the
necessary appurtenances fo~ ~the storage and distribution of water
in s aid ~tty of Ukiah?
I, the undersigned, do hereby Certify that the foregoing Resolution
was adopted by the City Council of the City of Ukiah, at a meeting
held Tuesday, April 20, 194~
