territory to the City of Ukihh, and.
W:'REAS it appears that said petition is signed by the
required number of owners o~ property in the territory proposed
to be annexed, and said properties being of the value required by
law to be owned by such parties, the City of Ukiah and the City
Council of said City do hereby resolve as follows:
That at the hour of 8 o'clock P.~.!. on the 17th day of
June,1953, st the council chambers of the City of U'kiah, Gal!fern-
ia, the Oity Council of the City of Ukiah will hear protests madei
b7 any person owning resl propert7 within the territory proposed I
to be annexed to the ~ity of Ukiah, and any person owning real I~

ro'-~erty wit:in such territory so pr, oposed to be annexed, an~', i
having a~y objections to the proposed annexation may appear before
said City Council at said time and place and show cause, if any
he has, why such territory should not be annexed.
The territory sought to be annexed is situate inthe City
of Okiah, sta~e of california, and particularly described as
follows, to-wit:
A portion of Lot 17 of nealey's ~urvey and ~¥~ap of the
Yokayo Rancho, more perticularly described as follows:
BEGI~NING at a point on the easterly line of the Oalif-
ornia S~te Highway, said. point being the northwest corner
of the land described in the deed from Stanley W. ~atson
et ux to 12th District Agriculture ~ssociation, an institu-
tion of the State of Oalifornia~ :~sted Ju~v~ 1st, 1941, re-
corded February 1Vth^ 1942, in °ook 154 of Official Records,
Page 162, l~lend, c in¢, County Records; running thence northerly
along said highway line 540 feet; thence easterly parallel
with the northerly line of said l~th District Agriculture
Association land 300 feet; thence soui:herly parallel with
the easoerl?~ line of said highway 540 feet, mo?e or less,
to the northerly line of said 12th District ~riculture
As.:oci't ion land; thence westerl=.., along~ said last mentioned
line 300 feet, more or less to the point of beginning.
The terri tory sought to be annexed s:~mll be known as
