Re: Destruction of old City Records.
Dear ~r. Burke:
I refer to ResolutionoNo. 55-3, passed by the City
Co~mcil in regular se~,sion on July 2t, 1954. This
~esolution authorized the destruction of old records
of the City of D~ziah which can ~egally be destroyed.
On July 26, 1954, with the help of my deputies, the
records in the City's store reommwere segregated. If
it is legally possible to do so, I would appreciate
your authorization to destroy the following:

City Warrants (both payroll and accounts
payable) dated from the year 1906 to the
year 1948 inclusive.
Purc~ase Orders from 1940 to 1948 (calendar
years ) inclusive.

Utility detail records prior to January 1,
4. C ollection reports ~rior to January 1,
1949o
Your early reply will facilitate the re-organization
of the City's files and records.
