RESOLUTION DECLARING RESULT OF ELECTION WHEREAS, it appear~s that Noti'ce of Electi~on .was duly and legally given, that voting precincts were properly.established, that EleCtion Officers were appoint~e~d and election supplies furnished, and that. in al I respects 'said elec~.i°n was held and conducte, d. and the votes Cast at said election receiVed and canvasS~ed, and the returns thereof, 'made, determined, and de- clared .in ~time, form and manner as required by the General Laws of. ~the State of California providing for and regulating Municip~! Elections in cities of the General Law. class, AND W~ER~, the Ci~ty Council of said ~City OF Ukiah met in the~'Council Chambers thereof on Tuesday, the-l~th day of April, 19'.~8, to canvass returns of said election and install the newly elected officers, AND WHEREAS, the City Council finds as a re.suit of said canvass, the number of vo'tes cast, the names of the persons voted for, and other matters as required by law. to be as here- inafter stated NOW THER~ORE, it is hereby resolved, determined and declared as follows: That said General Municipal Election was held and conducted in the 'City of Ukiah on Tuesday, April 8, 19~8, in time, form and man~.e~ as prescribed by law: That there were seven (7) voting precincts' establimhed in said City for the purpose of holding said election as follows: ConsOlidated Voting Precinct "A'? comprising.~ Precincts Nos. one, two and seven; Consolidated Voting Pre~cinct "B" compris- ing Preoincts Nos. three, four and nine; Consolidated Voting Precinct:~"C" comprising Precincts Nos. five, six and eight; Consolidated. Voting Precinct "D" comprising PreCincts Nos. thirteen, fourteen and fifteen; ConSolidated Voting Precinct "E" com~rlsing Precincts Nos. ten, eleven and SWeIve; Consoli- dated VSting Precinct "F" comprising Precincts~.~Nos. sixteen, seventeen, and eighteen; Consolidated Voting,PreCinct "G" com- prising ~oting Precincts Nos. nineteen and twenty, established for holding State and County Elections. That' the ~hole number of votes cast in Consolidated Voting Precinct'~"A" was 369; the ~hole number of. votes cast in Consolidated Voting Precinct "B" was.245; the. Whole number of' votes cas~t~ in COnsolidated Voting P~ecinct "C".. was 210; the whole number of votes cast in Consolidated Voting Precinct "D" was 286; the whole n ~umber of votes cast in Consolidated Voting Precinct· ~--"E" was 290; the whole number of vo~es cast in Con- solidate~ Moting P~ecinct "F" was 292~ the whOle'number of votes cast in .Consolidated VOting'p~ecin(~t G" Was 24~.; that the whole number of..votes cast in said City J~f Ukiah was~-l, 935, RESOLVED THEREFORE, that at sai~ General Municipal Election held in ..~the City of Ukiah, April 8, 1958, the ~following persons were elec~ted, to the following offices respectively: ERNEST F,~...BANKER was elected a member of the CiSy Council for the full '~'term of four ~years from and-after~ Tuesday, April 8, 1958, an~'.until his successor is elected and qualified. RALPH I. '.'BUXTON was elected a member~of the C~t¥ ~Oouncil for the full term of four years from and a£~er'.-Tues~ay, April 8, 19%8, and unt~f2~i~his suCcessOr.is elected and CAROLINE M. CHURCH w-as .ele. c.ted. Cit~;:'Clerk for a short term of two .years to fill the Un~'expired' term of James M. IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that the following proposition was defeat'ed at said election: "That' 'section I of' O~dinance No. 452 of~ the City of Ukiah 'be-revi.sed to read"~.T..he members of the City Council of 'the C~i. ty of~Ukiah shall each be paid $75.00! per month. The member of said Council' selected by said Council as Ma~or of the City of Ukiah shall be pa-id an additi!~l, sum'of $5Oe00 per month..
