RESOLUTION OF ACCEPTANCE OF GRANT
OF R IGHT-OF-WAY
WHEREAS, the City of Ukiah has acquired a Grant
of Right-of-Way from the Ukiah Union High School District, and
'WHEREAS, said Grant of Right-of-Way has been duly
executed by said Ukiah Union High School and delivered to the
CITY OF UKIA~.~,
NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED that the City C~uncil of the City of
Ukiah does hereby accept said Grant, said Grant being
attached hereto and made a part of t~'~is Resolution, the same as
if set forth here in full.
PAf~SED AND ADOPTED this 2nd day of January, 19~8 by
the following vote~
AYES: Mayor Rones, Councilmen Runkel, Mercer, Wagner and
Mazzoni
NOES: NONE

G_RANT 0F RIGHT OF WAY
UKIAH UNIOn' HIGH SCHOOL DISTHICT, hereinafter called first
party, does hereby grant to the City of Ukiah, a Municipal Corp-
oration hereinafter called second party, its successors and
assigns, the right to erect, maintain, replace, remove and use
a line o£ poles with all, necessary and proper crossarms, braces
anchors, guys and other appliances and fixtures for use in
connection therewith, and to suspend therefrom, maintain and
use such wires as second, party shall from time to ti~r~e dee~n
neces~ary fo~, the trans=.i ss ion and distribution of electric
energy and for communicat~i, on pu~,~oses together w:~.th a right
of way along said line of poles, over and across those certain
premises, situate in the City of Ukiah, County of Mendocino,
State of California, which are described as follows:
That p~rcel of land conveyed by R. H. Phillips and
Margaret W. Phillips, ~":~is wife~ to Union High School
District as recorded in the office of the County Hecorder,
County of Mendoclno, State of California, in Bo~k
of Official Records at Page 390.
The route of said line of poles across said premises s~ll
be as follows:
BEGINNING at a point on the North lt~e of Maple Avenue,
which bears S ?8° 24' W 1.~ ft. mo~e or less from the
Southeasterly corner of the above ~'~entioned lands of
Ukiah Union High School District, thence froz~ said point
of beginning Nll° 25~ W along a line t'~at is parallel
to s. nd 1..9 ft. West of at right angles to the Easterly
line of aforementioned Ukiah Union High School District
lmuds, a distar~ce of 20¢~.0 fe~:~t more or less to a point
and the Northerl~y extent of this right of way.
The first party also agrees to reimburse the second party
for th~-~ cost to the second party of moving and rec,:~nstructing
the transmission .line no~ serving the rear port!or, of the above
property to its new location i~ the above gray, ted right of way;
Second party agrees
that upon receipt of pa~nent of such costs and the acceptance
of this right of way, it abandons arKi relinquishes all rights
· to the presently used location and route of said transmission

Said right includes the tri~ning by second party of any
trees along said poles and wires whenever considered necess, ary
for the complete enjoyment thereof.
