A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UKIAH
REQUESTING A FEASIBILITY STUDY PERTINENT TO THE
ESTABLISHMENT OF A RECREATION DISTRICT FOR THE
COYOTE VALLEY RESERVOIR AND THE RUSSIAN RIVER
AREA IN MENDOCINO COUNTY
WHEREAS, the City of Ukiah is located in Mendocino
County on the Russian River approximately four miles
from the Coyote Valley Reservoir; and
WHEREAS, the City is vitally interested in the
development of recreation in the surrounding areas
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UKIAH
DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:'
1. The State Director of Recreation is requested
to instruct the State Department of Recreation
to immediately undertake a feasibility study
pertinent to the establishment of a Recreation
District for the Coyote Valley Reservoir and
the Russian River area in Mendocino County.
2. That the feasibility study be made under
authority g:ranted in Chapter 2165 of Statutes
of 1957.
PASSED AND ADOPTED THIS 24th day of July, 1957 by the
following vote:
AYES: Mayor Rones, Councilman Runkel, Wagner, Mazzoni
and Mercer.
