HomeMy WebLinkAbout60-36 RESOLUTION NO. 60-36 DECLARING RESULTS OF ELECTION 1 WHEREAS, it appears that Notice of Election was duly and legally 2 given, that voting precincts were properly established, that Election Officers were appointed and election 4 supplies furnished, and that in all respects said election was held and conducted and the votes cast at said election received and canvassed, and the returns thereof made, determined, and declared in time, form and manner as re- quired by the laws of the State of California providing for and regulating Municipal Elections in cities of the lO General Law Class, and 11 W~qEREAS, The City Council of said City of Ukiah met in the Council 12 Chambers thereof on Tuesday, the 19th day of April, 1960, 15 to canvass returns of said election and install the 14 newly elected officers, and 15 WHEREAS, the City Council finds as a result of said canvass, the number of votes cast, the names of the persons voted for, 17 18 19 2O i 21 i 22 25 24 25 26 and other matters as required by law to be as hereinafter s tat ed, NOW, TH~EFORE, it is hereby resolved, determined and declared as follows: That said Genera]. Mt, nicipal Election was held and conduct- ed in the City of Ukiah on Tuesday, April 12, 1960, in time, form and manner prescribed by law; That there were seven (7) voting precincts established in said City for the purpose of holding said electiqn as follows: ~' Consolidated Voting Precinct "A" comprising Precincts 27 Nos. one, two and seven; Consolidated Voting Precinct "B" compris' 28 !ling Precincts Nos. three, four and nine; Coneolidated Voting ~Precinct "C" comprising Precincts Nos. five, six and eight; Con- solidated Voting Precinct "D" comprising Precincts Nos. thirteen, 29 i fourteen and fifteen; Consolidated Voting Precinct "E" comprising ~0 iii Precincts Nos. ten, eleven and twelve; Consolidated Voting Precinct "F" comprising Precincts Nos. sixteen, seventeen and eight- 51 een; Consolidated. Voting Precinct G comprising Precincts Nos. nineteen and twenty, established for holding State and County elections. ~2 That the whole number of votes cast in Consolidated Voting Precinct "A" was 313; the whole number of votes cast in !Consolidated Voting Precinct "B" was 229; the whole number of !!votes cast in Consolidated Voting Precinct "C" was 226; the iwhole number of votes cast in Consolidated Voting Precinct "D" ~lwas 300; the whole number of votes cast in Consolidated Voting lO ll 12 1S 14 15 16 Precinct "E" was 224; the whole number of votes cast in Consolidated Voting Precinct "F" was 292; the whole number of votes cast in Consolidated Voting Precinct "G" was 201; that the whole number of votes cast in said City of Uktah was 1,78~. RESOLVED THEREFORE, that at said General Municipal Election held in the City of Uktah, April 12, 1960, the following persons were elected to the following offices respectively: HERMAN G, RUNK~_ was elected a member of the City Council for the full term of four years from and after April 12, 1960 and until his successor is elected and qualified. ROy .G... WAGNE..R was elected a member of the City Council for the full term of four years from and after April 12, 1960 and until his successor is elected and qualified. JACK K. SMALLEY was elected a member of the City Council for the full t eyre of four years fro~ and after April 12, 1960 and until his successor is elected and qualified. EDWIN M. CORBETT was elected Treasurer for the full term of four years from and after April 12, 1960 and until his successor is elected and qualified. CAROLINE M.
