HomeMy WebLinkAbout96-50 3 .4 § 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 2,5 26 27 28 RESOLUTION NO. 96-50 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UKIAH AUTHORIZING SUBMn-rAL, EXECUTION, AND ACCEPTANCE OF FEDERAL EMERGENCY SHELTER GRANT (FESG)- 1996 WHEREAS, the State of California, Department of Housing and Community Development, Division of Community Affairs, issued a Request for Proposals under the Federal Emergency Shelter Grant (FESG) Program for 1996; and WHEREAS, the Ukiah Community Center and the Ford Street Program are non-profit corporations willing to contract with the City of Ukiah to complete the activities proposed in the grant; and WHEREAS, both the Ukiah Community Center and the Ford Street Project provide essential services to the homeless, are qualified to perform the programs eligible for grant assistance, and have extensive experience in quality grant compliance and administration; and WHEREAS, the City of Ukiah certifies that if it receives a grant from the Federal Emergency Shelter Grant Program, all uses of the funds will be in compliance with Federal Emergency Shelter Grant Program Regulations and Contract. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Ukiah City Council hereby authorizes the City Manager to apply for and accept a grant from the Federal Emergency Shelter Grant Program in the amount of not more than $225,000 and to enter into a contract and any amendment thereto with the California Department of Housing and Community Development to perform any and all responsibilities in relationship to such contract.
