HomeMy WebLinkAbout2001-27 RESOLUTION NO. 2001-27 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UKIAH ESTABLISHING A TWENTY FOUR-MINUTE PARKING ZONE ALONG SOUTH OAK STREET WHEREAS, the City Council may by resolution designate portions of streets upon which the standing, parking, or stopping of vehicles is restricted pursuant to Article 11, Chapter 1, Division 8 of the Ukiah City Code; and WHEREAS, the provisions of Sections 21458 of the California Vehicle Code provide for painting curbs green to indicate time limit parking; and WHEREAS, the Traffic Engineering Committee (Traffic Engineer) considered the request from Liz Burford of Rebecca Lynn's Floral to establish a "Twenty Four-Minute Parking Zone" within the City of Ukiah; and WHEREAS, the Traffic Engineer recommends approval of the request regarding this "Twenty Four-Minute Parking Zone". NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Ukiah does establish a "Twenty Four-Minute Parking Zone" on South Oak Street, east side, for a length of two parking spaces adjacent to 475 South Oak Street at a location determined by the City Engineer, PASSED AND ADOPTED this 1st day of November, 2000 by the following roll call vote: AYES: NOES: ABSENT: ABSTAIN: Marie Ulvila, City Clerk Councilmembers Smith, Baldwin, Ashiku and Mayor Mastin.
