B. 2{48. This measure was set for hearing 'before the Assembly Co~nittee on. Nunicipal and County Government on June 1st. 'QUIET TITLE A:'{D DECLARATORY RI~LIEF ACTION' - THELMA ~!LSON: On a motion by Councilman Punkel, seconded by Councilman ,~agner:, it was unanimously carried the City Attorney he authorized to file an answer in the c~se of Tbelma Wilson vs. Purity Stores and proceed with any other legal technicaIities in the action. WATER POLLUTION COP~0L ',; 'r'~. ,-~ ^ ,r r;~0'.~R~.M OF UTILIZING WAILERS FOR AGRICUL~URAL P0'RPOSES: The Council was requested to consider support of a proposed program by the State ~ater Pallution Board whereby waste waters from wood products industries would be utilized for irrisation of agricultural lands at no cost to the City. On a motion hy Councilman ~,~asner, seconded by Councilman Runkel, it wa,~ unanimously carried the City Manager be authorized to notify the Water Pollution Control ~oard of the City's endorsement of this program. APPOINT~ENT OF DA~2 SU'RONG AS PARKS AND RECREATION DIRECTOR: The City Manager announced the appointment of Mr. Dave Strong as Parks and Recreation Director· Mr. Strong will assume his ~tuties as of June 1, lO61 and w~ll meet with the Recreation Commission at 10:00 A.K. at the Palace Hotel on that date.
