MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF
NOVEMBER 22~ 1~)61.
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UKIAH
The City Council convened in regular session in the Council
Chambers at 8:00 P.M. with Mayor Smalley, Councilmen Runkel,
Banker and Wagner present. Councilman Buxton was absent.
APPROVAL OF WARRANTS:
On a motion by Councilman Banker, seconded by Councilman
Wagner, it was unanimously carried Payroll Warrants for the
period of November I st to 15th be approved in the amount of
$28,206.66.

On a motion by Councilman Wagner, seconded by Councilman
Banker, it was unanimously carried the bid for the purchase
of 4 Police Cars be awarded to Dunning Motors, Inc. in the
amount of $5,913.66 excluding all options.

HELEN, AVENUE:
The City Manager recommended a 30 day time limit be established
in which Ralph Rains may negotiate a release submitted by
the City covering work on his property on Helen Avenue.
On a motion by Councilman Banker, seconded by Councilman
Wagner it was unanimously carried the City's offer to Ralph
Rains for improvements on his p~.operty on Helen Avenue be
effective to and including December 31, 1961 and the offer
terminate on this date.
USE OF LIBRARY PROPERTY FOR
PARKING MENO. COUNTY BOOKMOBILE:
Considerable time was devoted to a discussion regarding use
of a portion of the Library prol~rty for parking the Mendocino
County Bookmobile. It was concluded that all pertinent
information was not available at this time and the City Manager
was directed to investigate the matter for report at a later
da te.

P. G. & E. NEGOTIATIONS:
The Council was informed that the City Manager had replied to
P. G. & E.'s letter of November 17, 196l concerning misinter-
pretations which had resulted from a news release.
ADJOURNMENT .-
As there was no further regular business, Mayor Smalley
declared the meeting adjourned at 8:45 P.M. A meeting will
not be held on November 29, 1961.
