THE CITY OF UKIAH
The City Council convened in regular session in the Council
Chambers at 8:OO P.M. wi th Mayor Wagner, Councilmen Runkel,
Buxton, Banker and Smalley present.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES:

CITY OF UKIAH VS. C.A.B.:
The City Attorney reported that the opening Brief of Petitioner,
City of Ukiah in the case of City vs. C.A.B.,has been filed
with the Clerk of the U. S. Court of Appeals. The hearing will
probably be scheduled for the early part of January 1963.
AWARD OF BID FOR CONCRETE WORK
ON MAIN STREET WIDENING PROJECT:
Bids received for the construction of ~oncrete curbs, gutters,
sidewalks and driveways on Main Street, between Gibson Creek
and Norton Street and Norton Street, between State Street and
Mason Street were as follows:

As the low bid of Cloverdale Readymix complies with

On a motion by Councilman Smalley, seconded by Councilman Buxton,
it was unanimously carried the bid for concrete work on the

in the amount of $8,323.00 and the Mayor and Clerk is authorized

AGREEMENT FOR ADVERTISING ON
REFUSE CANS - BAIRD ADV. AGENCY:
The City Manager reported that the agreement wi th Baird Advertis-
ing Agency for advertising on refuse cans has expired and
Mr. Baird wishes to renew the agreement. He further noted that
to his knowledge there are no other parties interested in providing
this service.
The City Attorney was authorized to prepare an agreement extend-
ing the existing agreement for a term of five years and submit
same to Baird Advertising Agency for approval.

PEAR GROWER'S ASS'N. BARBECUE:
Members of the Council were extended an invitation to attend
the Pearl~Grower's Ass'n. Barbeuce to be held Sept. 27,
1962 at 7:00 P.M. at the Fairgrounds.
REPORT ON PURCHASE OF P.G. & E.
FACILITIES:
The City Manager reported he has contacted local P.G. & E.
officials and the final documents toward finalizing the
purchase of P. G. & E. facilities wi thin the City Limits are
in the San Rafael office.
DISCUSSION OF GOLF COURSE FEES:
The Council will consider golf course fees at the next
regular meeting.
COUNCILMAN BANKER:
