JULY 3, 1963
The City Council convened in regular session in the Council
Chambers at 8:O0 P.M. wi th Mayor Runkel, Councilmen Wagner,
Smalley and Banker present. Councilman Buxton was absent.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
On a motion by Councilman Banker, seconded by Councilman Wagner,
i't was unanimously carried the minutes of June 26, 1963 be
approved as submitted by the Clerk.
On a motion by Councilman Wagner, seconded by Councilman
Small"ey, it was unanimously carried the minutes of the adjourned
meeting of June 28, 1963 be approved as submitted by the Clerk.
APPROVAL OF WARRANTS:
On a motion by Councilman Banker, seconded by Councilman
Smalley, it was unanimously carried payroll warrants for the
period June 15 to 30, 1963 be approved in the amount of
$30,253.94 and ordered paid.
On a motion by Councilman Smalley, seconded by Councilman Wagner,
i't was unanimously carried special warrants in the amount of
$5,092.05 be approved and ordered paid.
REPORT ON STATUS OF ORDINANCES:
The City Attorney reported that the recently adopted traffic
ordinance has been fully indexed and distributed to various
departments.
COUNCILMAN BUXTON ARRIVED AT THIS POINT IN THE MEETING - 8:05 P.M.
All ordinances thus far adopted are in the process of being
typed in code form for duplication by multilith and inquiries
are being made toward obtaining suitable binding.
AIRPORT LEASE AGREEMENT - STANDARD
OIL COMPANY:
On a motion by Councilman Wagner, seconded by Councilman Buxton,
'"i't was unanimously carried Airport Lease Agreement with
Standard Oil Co. be approved for the term from July 1, 1963 to
June 30, 1968 and the Mayor and Clerk be authorized to sign
same.
AIRPORT DEALER AGREEMENT - STANDARD
O I L COMPANY:
On a motion by Councilman Smalley, seconded by Councilman Wagner,
it was unanimously carried Airport Dealer Agreement with Standard
Oil Co. be approved for the period from July 1, 1963 to June 30,
1968 and the Mayor and Clerk be authorized to sign same.
ZONE VAR. APPLICATION #63-19
R. S. DAVIS, 929 DOMINICAN WAY:
Variance Application #63-19 by R. S. Davis, 929 Dominican Way,
plot plan and minutes of the Planning Commission meeting of
June 20, 1963 were reviewed, it was the recommendation of the
Planning Commission that variance be granted R. S. Davis to
permit construction of a fence eight feet in height along the
property line of the rear one half of property located on
Dominican Way for protection and privacy of swimming pool.
There were no written or verbal protests to the granting of the
var iance.
On a motion by Councilman Banker, seconded by Councilman Smalley,
it was unanimously carried City Attorney be instructed to
prepare a resolution granting variance #63-19 to R. S. Davis as
per plot plan and subJect to standard conditions.
RES. NO. 63-59 GRANTING VARIANCE
TO R. S. DAVIS, 929 DOMINICAN WAY:
On a motion by Councilman Smalley, seconded by Councilman Banker,
it was unanimously carried Res. No. 63-59 be adopted and the
Mayor and Clerk be authorized to sign same "Resolution Granting
Variance to R S Davis" 929 Dominican Way to permit construct-
ion of 8 foot fence.
VAR. APPLICATION NO. 63-18 FIRST CHURCH
OF CHRIST SCIENTIST, 204 SO. OAK STREET:
Variance Application No. 63-18 by First Church of Christ,
Scientist, plot plan and minutes of the meeting of the Planning
Commission held June 20, 1963 were reviewed. It was the
recommendation of the Planning Commission that variance be
granted to permit construction of a Sunday School building,
eliminating rear and sideyard requirements, on property located
at 204 S. Oak Street.

PUBLIC HEARING - 1963-6/+ PROPOSED BUDGET.'
On a motion by Councilman Wagner, seconded by Councilman Buxton,
it was unanimously carried the City Clerk be instructed to
publicize that public hearing will be held regarding the 1963-6/+
budget on Wednesday, July 10, 1963 at 8:00 P.M. or as soon
thereafter as the same may be heard.
COUNCI LMAN WAGNER:
Councilman Wagner requested and was granted permission to be
out of the State for two days next week.
