COUNCILMAN BANKER
SPEED OF TRAFFIC ENTERING CITY
FROM FREEWAY NORTH
Councilman Banker expressed concern regarding the speed
of traffic moving into the City from the freeway north
and felt that there appears to be inadequate signing to
prepare the driver for the reduced speed limits at the
end of the freeway. It was pointed out that some distance
is travelled after leaving the freeway which is not within
the City limits and under the jurisdiction of the City
Police Department. However, the Director of Public Works
agreed to contact the State Traffic Engineer in regard
to conducting a speed study to determine whether an-ex-
cessive speed problem exists at this point.
