JULY 22, 1964
OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UKIAH
The City Council convened in regular session in the Council
Chambers at 8:02 P.M. with Mayor Banker, Councilmen Norgard,
Scotto and Smalley present. Councilman Buxton was absent.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
On a motion by Councilman Smalley,

On a motion by Councilman Norgard, seconded by Councilman
Scotto, it was unanimously carried special warrant in the
amount of $17.61 for Petty Cash be approved and ordered paid.
PUBLIC HEARING REGARDING
WEED ABATEMENT
Public hearing on weed and rubbish abatement was declared open
by Mayor Banker at 8:07 P.M. in accordance wi th Resolution
No. 65-1 adopted July l, 1964.
The City Attorney filed with the Clerk a description of
properties as certified to by the Assessor of Mendocino
County showing the names and addresses of owners, and the Affidavit
of Mai ling by the City Clerk. Affidavit of Posting by the
Director of Public Works, and the Certificate of the Director
of Public Works withdrawing those properties which have been
satisfactorily cleared of weeds and rubbish were also filed
wi th the Clerk.
There were no persons present requesting to be heard in objection
to the abatement of weeds and rubbish, and public hearing on
the matter was declared closed at 8:08 P.M.

On a motion by Councilman Scotto, seconded by Councilman
Smalley, it was unanimously carried Resolution No. 65-6 be adopted
and the Mayor and Clerk be authorized to sign same, "Resolu-
tion Ordering Director of Public Works to Proceed With the
Abatement of Weeds and Rubble."
ADOPTION OF ORDINANCE NO. 561 AMENDING
AND CODIFYING SUBDIVISION ORDINANCE
Proposed Ordinance No. 561 amending and codifying the
subdivision, curb, gutter and sidewalk ordinances was
full by the City Attorney.

Mayor Banker reminded the Council of the existing vacancy
