The City Council conved in regular session in the
Council Chambers at 8:01 P.M. with Mayor Banker, Councilmen
Norgard, Buxton, Scotto and Smalley present.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
On a motion by Councilman Scotto, seconded by Councilman
Buxton, it was unanimously carried the minutes of
November 4, 1964 be approved as submitted by the Clerk.
SPECIAL WARRANTS
On a motion by Councilman Buxton, seconded by Councilman
Norgard, it was unanimously carried special warrants in
the amount of $13,017.32 be approved and ordered paid.
RES. NO. 65-22 GRANTING VARIANCE
TO THELMA DURIGHELLO
On a motion by Councilman Smalley, seconded by Councilman
Scotto, it was unanimously carried Resolution No. 65-22
be adopted, ~nd the Mayor and Clerk be authorized to sign
same, "Resolution Granting A Variance To Thelma Durighello."
ADOPTION OF ORDINANCE NO. 564
(FI RE ZONES)
On a motion by Councilman Norgard, seconded by Councilman
Buxton, i t was carried by the followin9 roll call vote the
readin9 of Ordinance No. 564 be waived, "Ordinance Amend-
in9 Sections 5250, 5251, 5252, and Repealin9 Section 5253,
All Of The Ukiah City Code, Regardin9 Fi re Zones."

On a motion by Councilman Scotto, seconded by Councilman
Norgard, i t was carried by the followin9 roll call vote
Ordinance No. 564 be adopted and the Mayor and Clerk be
authorized to sign same, "Ordinance Amendin9 Sections 5250,
5251, 5252, And Repeal in9 Section 5253, All Of The Ukiah
City Code, Regardin9 Fi re Zones,"

PROPOSED CONCESSION ON CiTY PROPERTY
AT MUNICIPAL PARK
The City Manager requested postponement of further discussion
of the request of Mr. and Mrs. Simpson for permission to
operate a concession on City property at the Municipal
Park until an opinion can be obtained from the High School,
and reported that Win Howe has indicated he would have no
objection to the proposed concession.
CHRISTMAS TREE LIGHTING SERVICF
The Council was informed that arrangements are being made
at the reqeust of the Ukiah Ministerial Association for the
annual Christmas Tree l_ightin9 Service to be held Sunday,
November 29, from 5:45 to 6:45 p.m. at the corner of S.
School St. and Seminary Avenue.

LEAGUE OF CALl F. C I TI ES MEETING
The Council was reminded of the meeting to be held November
13th in San Rafael sponsored by the League of California
Cities for the purpose of reviewing possible legislative
changes affecting the operation of Local Agency Formation
Commi ssi ons.
MEETING TO BEHELD WITH DIV. OF
HIGHWAYS RE. CONSTRUCTION OF
SIDEWALKS ON PERKINS AND GOBBI
STREETS
The City Manager reported that a meeting will be held
November 17th with representatives of the Division of High-
ways to discuss the possible construction of sidewalks on
E. Perkins and E. Gobbi Streets from the freeway to Oak
Manor Drive.
MEETING WI TH P.G. & E. RE.
NATURAL GAS
The Council was informed that a meeting has been scheduled
for Monday, November 16th with officials of Pacific Gas
& Electric Company primarily to discuss the differences of
opinion contained in the appraisals of the City's gas
system.
CORRESPONDENCE - TOUR OF U.S.
CITIES BY TWO JAPANESE CITIZENS
Mayor Banker read a very interesting letter received from
two Japanese citizens who are planning a two year tour
of the United States and have included Ukiah among the
2,OOO cities to be vi site~d.
ADJOURNMENT
As there was no further regular business, Mayor Banker
declared the meeting adjourned at 8:17 P.M.
