HomeMy WebLinkAbout2002-33RESOLUTION NO. 2002-33 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UKIAH AUTHORIZING SUBMITTAL, EXECUTION, AND ACCEPTANCE OF FEDERAL EMERGENCY SHELTER GRANT (FESG) - 2002 WHEREAS, 1. The State of California, Department of Housing and Community Development, Division of Community Affairs, issued a Request for Proposals under the Federal Emergency Shelter Grant (FESG) Program for 2002; and 2. The Ukiah Community Center and the Ford Street Project are non-profit corporations willing to contract with the City of Ukiah to complete the activities proposed in the grant and the City of Ukiah is willing to accept the grant; and 3. Both the Ukiah Community Center and the Ford Street Project provide essential services to the homeless, are qualified to perform the programs eligible for grant assistance, and have extensive experience in quality grant compliance and administration; and 4. The City of Ukiah certifies that if it receives a grant from the Federal Emergency Shelter Grant Program, all uses of the funds will be in compliance with Federal Emergency Shelter Grant Program Regulations and Contract. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Ukiah City Council hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute all required certifications, apply for and accept the Federal Emergency Shelter Grant in the amount of not more than $300,000, and to enter into a Standard Agreement and any amendment thereto with the Department of Housing and Community Development of not more than $300,000, and to perform any and all responsibilities in relationship to such contract.
