Counci ]man Scotto was absent. APPROVAL OF MINUTES On a motion by Councilman Harlowe, Crook, it was unanimously carried be approved as corrected. CI VE'CITY ATTORNEY FILING S CURIAE BRIEF IN GARDNER TY OF SAN JOSE The City Attorney requested the Council's general authority to File an amicus curiae brief in the case of Gardner vs. City of San Jose and explained briefly the circumstances of the ca se. On a motion by Councilman Norgard, seconded by Councilman Crook, it was unanimously carried the City Attorney be directed as he sees fit to File an amicus curiae brief in the case of Gardner vs. City of San Jose. It was pointed out to the Council that inasmuch as newspaper publicity indicated that the general program was being proposed For administration by the County government, there was no requirement for any formal action by the Council.
