Councilman Crook was absent. APPROVAL OF MINUTES On a motion by Councilman Henderson, seconded by Councilman Harlowe, it was unanimously carried the minutes of May l l, 1966 be approved as submitted by the Clerk. PAYROLL WARRANTS On a motion by Councilman Harlowe, seconded by Councilman Scotto, it was unanimously carried Payroll Warrants for the peri od of May 1 st th rou9h 15th, 1966 be approved i n the amount of $33,611 . 11 . GENERAL WARRANTS On a motion by Councilman Scotto, seconded by Councilman Henderson, it was unanimously carried general warrants in the amount of $77,142.70 be approved and ordered paid. RES. NO. 66-55 GRANTING VARIANCE TO RALPH L. RAI NS On a motion by Councilman Scotto, seconded by Councilman Harlowe, it was unanimously carried Resolution No. 66-55 be adopted and the Mayor and Clerk be authorized to sign "Resolution Granting Variance to Ralph L. Rains." same, RES. NO. 66-56 GRANTING VARIANCE TO AL TOE ALI CE BETTINI On a motion by Councilman Harlowe, seconded by Counci 1man Scotto, it was unanimously carried Resolution No. 66-56 be adopted and the Mayor and Clerk be authorized to sign same, "Resolution Granting Variance to Altoe Alice Bettini ." RES. NO. 66-57 GRANTING VARIANCE TO TBS BUILDERS SUPPLY On a motion by Councilman Scotto, seconded by Councilman Henderson, it was unanimously carried Resolution No. 66-57 be adopted and the Mayor and Clerk be authorized to sign same, "Resolution Granting Variance to TBS Builders Supply." RES. NO. 66-58 APPOINTING MEMBER TO RECREATION AND PARKS COMMISSION (BEN O. FOSTER) On a motion by Councilman Harlowe, seconded by Counci 1man Scotto, it was unanimously carried Resolution No. 66-58 be adopted and the Mayor and Clerk be authorized to sign same, "Resolution Appointing Member to Recreation and Parks Commi ssi on." MC ALL ISTER vs. CITY OF UKIAH LITIGATION REPORT The City .Attorney reported that the case of McA]lister vs. the City of Ukiah involving a dispute over water rights has been assigned a new trial date on June 6, 1966. MAYOR'S PROCLAMATION - BUDDY POPPIES The Mayor's Proclamation urging all citizens to buy and wear Buddy Poppies on the days set aside for their distribution in the City of Ukiah was read and signed by Mayor Norgard. MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UKIAH MAY 18, 1966 AUTHORIZATION TO CALL FOR BIDS FOR 1 REPLACEMENT DUMP TRUCK On a motion by Councilman Scotto, seconded by Councilman Hat]owe, it was unanimously carried the C]eFl< be authorized to cai] for bids for one replacement dump truck as per specifications re- viewed by the City Mana9er, bids to be received prior to 2:00 P.M., June 8, ]966. AUTHORIZATION TO CALL FOR BIDS FOR 1 SERVICE TRUCK On a motion by Counci ]man Scotto, seconded by Councilman Harlowe, it was unanimously carried the Clerk be authorized to cai] for bids for one service truck as per specifications reviewed by the City Manager, bids to be received prior to 2:00 P.M., June 8, 1966. REPORT ON MOVING OF BUILDINGS FROM PARKING LOTS AND AUTHORIZATION FOR EXTENSION OF TI ME The Council was informed that as the result of injuries which will incapacitate Mr. Barber for some period of time, his brother has taken over the work of removing the bui 1dings from the parking lot properties. A]though he fee]s he may be able to complete the work wi thin the original ti me limi rations, he has requested an extension of one weekls time to allow 'for any unexpected delays. ESTROOMS - ED EXTENSION Due t of re addi t May I o additional work assi9ned the contractor for construction strooms at the Municipal Park, it was recommended an iona] six days be granted for completion of the work to 5, 1966. On a motion by Councilman Scotto, seconded 5y Counci ]man Henderson, it was unanimously carried Noian Hunt, contractor for construction of rest rooms at the Municipal Park be 9ranted an extension of time to May ]5, 1966 for completion of the work. On a motion by Councilman Scotto, seconded by Councilman Henderson, it was unanimously carried construction of rest- rooms at the Municipal Park be accepted as complete and the Clerk be authorized to file the required Notice of Completion. COUNCILMAN HENDERSON Councilman Henderson enqui red if an ordinance existed pro- hibiting the parking and startin9 of diesel trucks on residentia] streets and was informed there is not such ordinance.
