MI NUTES OF THE MEET I NG OF THE COUNC I L OF THE C ! TY OF UKIAH
DECEMBER 14, 1966
The City Council convened in regular session in the Council
Chambers at 8:04 P.M. with Mayor Norgard, Councilmen Scotto,
Crook, Henderson and Harlowe present.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
On a motion by Councilman Scotto, seconded by Councilman
Henderson it was unanimously carried the minutes of December
1966 be approved as corrected.

MAYOR WELCOMES UKIAH HIGH
SCHOOL STUDENT GOVERNMENT CLASS
The Student Government Class from the Ukiah High School was in
the audience and was welcomed by the Mayor who introduced the
Councilmen, City Manager and City Attorney to the students.
Each student then stated his name and the club or class he
represented.
P.G.&.E. PETITION FOR
RECONSIDERATION OF
P.U.C. DECISION DENIED
The City ~ttorney read the Public Utilities Commission's
decision denying Pacific G~s and Electric Company's request
for reconsideration of the decision regarding their rate
application.

CORRECTION OF CHAMBER
OF COMMERCE BROCHURES
The City Manager reported that the Manager of the Chamber of
Commerce had requested a discussion of errors in the brochure
which was prepared by the Chamber portraying various aspects
of the City. The City Manager was directed to work wi th the
Chamber Manager to determine a method of correction.
INFORMAL DISCUSSION WITH HIGH
SCHOOL STUDENT GOVERNMENT CLASS
At this point in the meeting there was a question and answer
session in which the students of the High School Student
Government Class asked the Council questions pertaining to
City Government. Representatives of the press and radio and
the P.G.&E. representative made comments and asked the students
various questions.

COUNCILHAN SCOTTO
Councilman Scotto asked the status of the Sierra-Pacific
Airlines and was advised that an unofficial report indicated
that the airlines was in the process of purchasing additional
aircraft which indicates they intend to proceed with their
plans.
COUNCILMAN CROOK
Councilman Crook inquired concerning the time the survey of
water rates was to be completed and vas advised that the
approximate time for completion of the survey was from three
to six months.
Councilman Crook asked if it had been determined that the
resolution withdrawing territory of Annexation No. 65-2
(Waugh Lane) had been approved by the Council and was advised
that this had not been determined.
Councilman Crook inquired concerning the December 28 th Council
meeting and the Council agreed there would be no quorum available
for a meeting.
ADJOURNMENT
As there was no further regular business, Mayor Norgard
declared the meeting adjourned at 9:36 P.M., after which the
Council reconvened in closed personnel session.
