The City Attorney reported receipt of further information from the California
Consti-butional 2evision Co~mi'~ssion regarding da-a2bing of irticle Xi (Local
Goverr~en%) casd review,md articles contained therein. The Sity Attorney reported
said revision has not chss~ged the position of -the cities to the detriment of
o~ cities and cozmuended Bud Carpenter of -the League office for his work in

from the office of the Attorney General representing the cash portion of
the net settlement share in the partial settlement of the Western Pipe
Cases. ~nce the overall settlement included payment in the foztu of notes
by certain defendants, these notes have been pro rated ~ong the plaintiffs
amd will be paid over a seven year period, it is estimated the total City's
share of this amount will be appro~ma'tely $1,~00.

The City fLwaager presented aerial photos of areas proposed to be considered
for annexation consisting of hunson ~ubdivision and the b~iah ~iilage Sub-
~vision. Certain explanations were made regarding each o£ the proposed a~eas
pointing out the desirabili~cy, if possible, of keeping the new City li~it
boundaries in as nearly a straight line as practical, it was pointed out in
the case of the iiunson Subdivision, that further checking would be made ~.~'ith
am interested o'~ner 'bo deber~.S_ne his current opinion regarding '~nexa. tion. If
-bhe opinio}.i is favorable, it w'as proposed %0 include substen%ial agricultural
land joi~ming this subdivision and located south of TalUuage Road.
Several psa~cels of approximately ten acres each were pointed out i~mmdiately
~'est of the Ukiah Village sa-ea ~izich required special consideration in order
to f~nish pow'er set,ce but which should be excluded if ovmers were not
favorable towed ~moxa.%ion. Efforts %o contact these owners will continue.
It was specifically pointed out that if the owners of these parcels were not
agreeable, it would be necessary to permit Pacific Gas ~d Electric
%o maintain a tr~m~ssion line on Beacon L~e to serve these psmce!s after
purchase of the disbribution system by the City. After ~scussion snd
