MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UKIAH
JUNE 4, 1969
The City Council convened in regular session in the Council Chambers
at 8:02 p.m. with Cyril Hill, Mayor pro tem; Councilmen Scotto, Crook,
and Norgard present. Mayor Henderson was absent.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
On a motion by Councilman Scotto, seconded by Councilman

On a motion by Councilman Scotto, seconded by Councilman Norgard, it
was unanimously carried that the Clerk be au~thorized to call for bids
for petroleum products requirements through June, 1970, bids to be
received prior to 2:00 p.m. on June 24, 1969~
CONCESSION AGREEMENT
AT CITY PARK
A memo from the City Manager dated June 4, 1969, was read requesting
Council give authorization for the City to enter into an agreement
for the pool concession with the selected concessionaire as soon as
an analysis of the proposal could be made. Points to be considered
in arriving at a decision will be dependability of the applicant,
experience, and ability to meet financial obligations.
On a motion by Councilman Norgard, seconded by Councilman Crook, and
unanFm6us'ly carried the City Mana9er be authorized to enter into an
a9reement with a concessionaire for service at the City swimmin9
pool for one season, provided the aforesaid requirements are met
and said a9reement is as proposed for the Dolphin Swim Auxiliary.

Pt the request of the Council, the City Engineer will report on the
conditions and obligations in the agreement with Mr. Feibusch in
regard to requirements for installing sidewalks and will report
at their meeting of June 11, 1969.

COUNCILMAN SCOTTO
Councilman Scotto inquired as to the limitation'of demolition per-
mits and was advised by the Acting Manager that normally a permit
runs for about a year unless some specific limitation is placed
on it.
Councilman Scotto reported that he has read the controversial book,
"Portnoy's Complaint" and feels that this bock is unfit and should
not be placed on the City Library shelves.
COUNCILMAN NORGARD
Councilman Norgard inquired as to the status of the lease for the
site for the Standard Station on the airport property. It was his
understanding that this lease was in'preparation and was to have
come to the Council within two weeks. The matter will be referred
to the City Manager and report at their next meeting.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further regular business, the ~ayor pro tem declared
the meeting adjourned at 8:35 p.m.
