HomeMy WebLinkAbout2002-06RESOLUTION NO. 2002-06 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UKIAH SUPPORTING THE APPLICATION BY NORTH COAST RAILROAD AUTHORITY FOR TRANSPORTATION ENHANCEMENT ACTIVITIES GRANT, FY 2001/2002 WHEREAS, the City of Ukiah has a significant interest in the renovation of the Ukiah Railroad Depot property located in the downtown core of the City; and WHEREAS, the North Coast Railroad Authority has applied for a Federal Transportation Enhancement Activities (TEA) Grant to renovate the Ukiah Depot as part of its revitalization plan; and WHEREAS, the City of Ukiah has the financial and management expertise to act as the fiscal conservator of all grant monies, reports and accounting issues associated with said grant. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Ukiah: Approves the filing of a grant application by the North Coast Railroad Authority (NCRA) for a Transportation Enhancement Activities (TEA) Grant, and Agrees to contract with NCRA to act as the Fiscal Conservator during the duration of the TEA grant for a fee not to exceed $18,000, if the grant is awarded to NCRA. PASSED AND ADOPTED this 5th day of September 2001 by the following roll call vote: AYES: NOES: Councilmembers Larson, Smith, Libby, Baldwin, and Mayor Ashiku. None. ABSENT: None. ABSTAIN: None.
